Anras castle & country house

Embedded in the beautiful landscape of East Tyrol, Anras Castle was built as a bishop's summer residence and expanded in 1754 in Baroque style. This stately home of the bishops of Brixen developed a cultural and artistic richness that still inspires today.

In 1991, the Messerschmitt Foundation acquired the “Pfleghaus” and a few years later the adjacent country house, and has preserved this treasure of Alpine culture. The ensemble still tells the history of the past centuries. The country house offers six high-quality holiday apartments. In 2022 the municipality moved in the castle as tenant in parts, wide areas serve cultural and museum purposes. In addition, two beautiful vacation apartments could be realized in the castle.
